Has anyone else had a random messenger noise but no message or a default text noise or what’s app noise but no message? I’ve had. It a couple of times over the last few months and it’s driving me crazy as anyone I talk to hasn’t had this problem.

To resolve this, you will likely need to comb through each of your individual application notification settings as outlined in Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and confirm they are set up properly.
For example, if you have notification sounds enabled, but not banners, then you may hear a sound, but not actually see the notification.
Give that a try, and reach back out to us if you're still having issues.

Thanks for confirming that for us, Sueperbly. In that case, we'd recommend updating your device to the latest software version as shown here, if you haven't done so already: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Sorry I should’ve said I’ve already checked all my app settings and none are selected to sounds only . It’s not often it happens just occasionally
