Cant sign in properly to podcast connect

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to upload a podcast but every time I get to the sign in page where it asks for apple ID I get the run around. I type my apple ID, then my password and then the 2 step verification which gets sent to my phone. Once I put the numbers in the page looks like its' about to progress to the next one but then it makes me start over with my apple ID again. It's a continuous loop. Anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

Joey

You are going to https://podcastsconnect.apple.com ? I was able to open that just now (already signed in, though) but there have been ongoing problems with the validatino process there for some days, so this might be part of it. Leave it for a bit and try again: if you still can't sign in try to contact Podcasts Support. Go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

Same issue. I'm new to the Apple ecosystem and launched my podcast on 3/28. I'm unable to log into https://podcastsconnect.apple.com as I am put into an endless loop for the two step auth. I tried going to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and clicking "Contact Us" but it simply redirects me general information. I didn't see any means of contacting someone for help.

Also, if I go to https://getsuppport.apple.com/ I get an error on the page (I'm on a desktop PC):

This site can’t be reached

  • Check if there is a typo in getsuppport.apple.com.If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

Pretty disappointing experience thus far. :(

Ok I think I have a solution. I'm new to the apple ecosystem (and on a PC) so this might not come as a revelation to some of you. When you create your log in at podcastsconnect.apple.com that is not the same as creating an Apple ID. Furthermore, when creating a log in for these forums, it is not the same thing as creating an Apple ID. Here are the steps:

Did this on a desktop PC

1) Download iTunes

2) Create an account (this has to be done through the itunes app)

3) Fill out billing info (I chose not to input a CC but the billing address needs to be filled out.)

4) After filling out your billing info and completing the account creation process you will have created your Apple ID.

5) Log into podcastsconnect.apple.com using the login credentials you created via iTunes.

6) It will ask you for the 6 digit code. After inputting it, you should be logged in and see your dashboard.

The key is to create your login and pass THROUGH the iTunes app. This was the info I got from apple podcast support. Hope this helps.

I'm having the same issue. I am trying to launch a new show and I get into this same endless loop. When I get to the itunes connect page, there is an icon for the Podcast Connect, but it's not clickable. The only icon clickable seems to be for artists wanting to upload their content. I was able to upload to Spotify within a few minutes and to iHeart Radio within an hour or two! This is nuts. I thought maybe it had something to do with the fact that I created a new Apple ID specifically for the podcast which is different from my personal one that my laptop is connected to. Upon reading all of these posts, that doesn't seem to be the case.

If anyone has found a fix or workaround, I would love to know how to do it! Thanks!

Currently Podcasts Connect is completely bust: I can't log into it - either it takes the password and then bounces back to where it was, or it brings up the 2FA announcement, then the code, but mostly doesn't give anywhere to put it. when it finally did it just dropped back to the login. I'm afraid you'll just have to wait for them to fix it. problems of one sort and another have been going on for about a week now.

I have no way of knowing what's going on within Podcasts Connect, I'm afraid. I can get into it without difficulty, though obviously I can't test the submission process: but there have been various problems affecting a number of people. Several have posted here that theh've been told that Apple are working on it.

Of course if you are only adding episodes to a feed rather than submitting a new one you don't need to go into Podcasts Connect, you can just add the episode to the feed. However even then some have found that while subscribers see new episodes OK, the iTunes Store/Podcasts 'Browse' doesn't update.

So I was having trouble as well.

I didn't have to create my account via ITunes but it is about filling out the billing info in your account because after struggling the same as everyone else here I finally figured it out.

Login to your apple ID account and set up the billing and shipping info. I added paypal so they didn't have my cards.

Next login to Itunes and when it asks you to "view your account" click on it and do the same process. Only at this step I was able to remove the paypal and just click none.

Finally I authorized this computer on Itunes.

After doing that I was able to get in to podcastconnect on apple and submit my RSS feed for consideration.

I'll let you know if I run in to any problems later but it does seem to be down to validating the billing info in the account and connecting it via Itunes.

I have had my podcast on itunes for nearly a year and I got into Podcast Connect without any trouble. It was great. But about a month ago I couldn't get in at all. I experience the same problem as yourself. I have left it for a week here and there but even that doesn't work. Thank for posting it helps to know the problem is a problem!
