Data takes more space on a HFS+ hard drive than on NTFS

Hello everyone,

I found an unpleasant thing and that is that I have two identical 4TB hard drives - one is formatted with HFS+ and the second one, which I use as a backup is formatted with NTFS. I clone the data from the first one using CCC to the second one and surprisingly, on the NTFS drive there remains much more free space left. There are just now 235GB left on the HFS+ drive and 346GB left on the NTFS drive, which is 111GB difference and that is already noticeable. How is it possible that the same content takes up more space on the HFS+ formatted drive?

Thanks!
