Preparing iPhone 6 for trade in

I have been following the instructions everyone has been kind enough to share on preparing my phone to trade in. When I open it now I get a white screen with Hello and then the next page lets you choose your language. Does this mean all my information is off of it? I never got a message to delete iCloud specifically and am a little worried that when the phone is opened I might still have information on it.
