When I plug in my iPhone to my Macbook pro, it repetitively connects and disconnects.

That usually is a sign of a bad cord. I've seen flipping the cord upside down fixes the issue on some cases.

Changing the cord to an Apple official cord can help.


Dust and debris can get in the port and should only be cleaned by an Authorized Apple Technician.
