Activation locked iPad

I was given an Apple Tablet from my old job which was closed due to sale of the property to AMAZON in Arlington, Virginia. I was working for Residence Inn by Marriott Pentagon City at 550 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, Virgin. The Hotel is now closed down and I was the Director of Loss Prevention during the opening of the hotel. I have been trying to contact previous managers that worked the front desk that had use of the Apple Tablet and no one seems to remember the password. I can give you names of the front desk team that at the time may have purchased the tablet. I did not have use of the tablet due to it was the front desk team at that time in use. Can someone please help me to activate and or to obtain an Apple ID.

Here are the Apple support pages that outline the Activation Lock - and the only mechanisms by which it can be turned off:

As you will discover, unless you are the owner of the AppleID that was last used to activate the device, you’ll not be able to defeat or bypass the Activation Lock. With documentary evidence that you are the original owner (such as sales receipt showing the serial number), Apple may be prepared to assist - otherwise they and nobody here will be able to help you.

If you have the necessary documentation, Apple have recently introduced a new portal though which you may be able to request release of an Activation Lock:
