It is indeed a scam attempt.
Apple does not make such calls.
All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to ignore the calls or hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.

ICLOUD BREACH
Person's name was Claire D. Apple security ID number is ****. "Whatever you do don't call 1800MYAPPLE" was her repeated refrain. She started to panic when she heard Skype loading and beeping, "don't do anything on your computer" she shrieked, "they can see whatever you're doing".

This sounds very suspicious. I would contact Apple. See ‘Get Support’ from drop down menu for Communities. Good luck.
Still a scam.
That's your wheelhouse, I'll never know who she was.
I've been getting this phone call from different numbers (pre-recorded message) all day. I logged in directly to Apple on a secure browser and changed my password just in case.
