How can I download ringtones from my MacBook ( In Finder recents) to my iPhone

that I had purchased from a ringtone site.

First, download your ringtones to your Mac.

The ringtones you have purchased must be in m4r format. If they are NOT, then you can convert them. Search if necessary. on Google for an m4r converter.


Now you need to transfer your ringtones to your iPhone.

Connect your iPhone to your Mac, open the Finder and select your iPhone from the side menu. If it is not in the General tab, select General and just "drag" the m4r file in, and drop. The ringtone is now on your phone, and can be selected inside Settings in Sounds and Haptics.

Yes, but you may well understand the context of OP issues. The question is how to transfer ringtones. OP would hardly just transfer the ringtone file to a random folder on the phone, in which case he would probably just ask how to transfer a file from Mac to iPhone.


I'm not saying it's wrong to transfer files with AirDrop, but in the context of this issue it's redundant.
