Streaming via Thunderbolt Port

My cable company me an appliance designed to stream via HDMI. No cost to me so I thought I'd try it out. I can buy an HDMI to Thunderbolt adapter. The question is, what app on the iMac do I need to watch the stream? A safari plug in perhaps?

Who is your Internet Service Provider?

You do not need an additional HDMI connection to stream into your iMac. You just need to go to your ISPs web site using Safari and log in to their service.

FWIW the HDMI box (appliance) that they gave you, is for a non-smart HDMI TV.

This is a Flex box from Comcast. I only get Internet via them. They just sent it out. I can currently log in to their site and watch various TVGo streams. This contraption is supposed increase the streaming options, including things like their Peacock service. This is included with their Internet cost. Before I drop $12 on the adapter I wanted to find out how I'd even watch on the Mac. I am willing to spend the $12 to see if i even like Peacock, or any of their other offerings.
