Backup from one external drive to another external drive.

Is it possible to setup Time Machine to backup files on another external HD to be part of the backup set from your Mac local drive. In other words backup from one external drive to another external drive?

Yes you can do that.

Open Time Machine Preferences after you have connected to both the Time Machine backup disk and the external disk you want to back up. Select the Options button. You will see the external drive listed in the "Exclude these drives from backups" list. Remove it from that list by selecting it and click the minus button below, then click the SAVE button to save this change. Now it will be included in the next backup along with your internal drive. Both the internal and that external drive will be backed up to the Time Machine backup drive.
