Hi Martin,
Thanks for reaching out about syncing your contacts. We can help with this. This depends on where your contacts are saved. You can find this out by going to the settings of the device where they are showing correctly and looking to see which account they are saved with.
You can use this article to sync iCloud contacts:
Set up and use iCloud Contacts
Take Care.
Hi,
We recommend turning on iCloud Contacts on your iPhone first and then turning it on for your Mac. Before starting, make sure to backup your contacts first. If there happens to be an issue with this process, it's best to have a backup on hand.
Cheers.
Here's what I did to resolve the problem.
On my iPhone...
Hi,
The best first step is to restart both devices. If that doesn't help go ahead and update both devices to the latest version of software. This should help them sync.
Before doing any steps, we recommend making a backup of the contacts you don't want to lose.
Take care.
I have separate contacts on my mac and my iPhone and I want the ones on my mac to replace the ones on my iPhone definitely not the other way around). If I follow the directions under On your Mac on the link you provided, will that do that?
I haven't done anything yet but on my mac System Preferences->iCloud Contacts is checked and on my iPhone iCloud settings under APPS USING ICLOUD the Contacts slider is on and yet my contacts are not the same. What am I doing wrong? I'm using macOS 11.2.3 and iOS 12.5.2
