Help please, I don't want to use the cloud...is that possible anymore?

Moving on a boat. Want to transfer all my info into a contact manager program (NEED SUGGESTIONS ...I used Sharkware years ago and loved it) I hate the idea we are forced to use the cloud.

EverNote is a possibility, I will be overwhelmed on how to transfer info into it but I REALLY need to get organized.

I miss iPhoto. I had everything all nice and organized and have never recovered from going to PHOTOS.

I am not as savvy as I would like to be and need some patient simple questions to ask me so I can get some direction on how to move forward. I want the old fashioned CD loaded program or downloaded as a standalone program from the internet.

Thanks for anything you can offer me.

Evernote, while it can be used solely on your device, is really designed to be used in conjunction with Evernote's servers, i.e. the cloud. It's also not really a contact manager.

You can use the Apple-installed Contacts application on your computer without linking it to any cloud services.

I'm unfamiliar with "Sharkware". I don't know what you mean by a "contact manager" program. The Contacts app organizes contacts. What else you might want depends on your individual needs. If you mean customer relationship management software, something like Daylite, there are lots out there.

If so, the Contacts app that comes with a Mac sounds as if it can easily do most of the same things. What's missing for you?

Contacts is not enough...I need a contact manager program like SHARKWARE was....I miss it.
