Rcn’s instructions to set up IMAP email don’t work. IMAP.rcn.com. Port 143 gets rejected so what’s the proper set up?

Indeed port 143 is the correct port for IMAP access.
Are you using VPN, some firewall, or some anti-virus software that would (incorrectly) affect this port?

Where do you get stuck and what message, exactly, comes up?
Have you tried setting up the account while on wifi and while on cellular data?

Rcn is my email provider. They say contact apple. Apple says to contact rcn. Ugh!
What instructions did rcn provide for setting up the email?

i have tried several times. Think I’ll try to see the sales rep at Apple who sold me the phone. He said he also has rcn.
