My "Notes" on a Mac running Safari opened without warning to full screen, making it unusable for me. I cannot find a button to shrink it back. Does anyone know how to do that?

Try the ESC button on keyboard will normally return the Screen to Normal Size.
So, if you slide your pointer to the upper left, the buttons do not appear?
If it helps, my Mac was running on the Mojave OS 10.14.6 when "Notes" suddenly expanded to full screen. ("Safari" was not open at the time.) How do I shrink "Notes" back to the modest size I once used with other programs at the same time?
