WD Passport for Mac - no data showing

I have a WD Passport for Mac. I uploaded data. It was showing, yesterday. But today no data present at all in the files, which do show up but are empty.

I tried to repair using Disc Utility but it said no repair possible.

Help. Is this a dud WD - or how can I get it to work?

I use a number of these WD Passports with my computers. The ones designed to be use with Apple products should come pre-formatted for HFS+, otherwise, they are pretty much identical to the "non-Apple" versions meant for Windows-based PCs.

macOS Catalina can work with drives formatted in HFS+, APFS, ExFAT, and DOS, but work best when formatted in APFS.

Back to your drive issue. Have you tried using this drive with another computer? If so, was it able to access it successfully? Is this a new drive or one that you have had for awhile? What exact error did you get with the Disk Utility when you ran the Utility's First Aid function?
