The picture is very blurred. The little square beside Batch Code is that something you can scan with your phone camera? Open Home App (yellow house icon) & click or tap on + to Add Accessory. There might be a part that says “I don’t have a code”. If it won’t scan close the Home App & restart your phone - wipe off any dust on the device or clean your camera lens.

  • Update your Hive App via the App Store

If you read the link I provided on my last post it says: “Only the latest Hive Hub is supported, however, and if you have the Hive Wired Thermostat, you won't be able to control it through HomeKit.”

Source: https://www.pocket-lint.com/smart-home/news/hive/152228-hive-finally-embraces-apple-homekit-but-not-all-devices-are-compatible-yet

and: “The latest version of the Hive app for iOS can now be used to integrate certain Hive systems.”

Have you tried updating the Hive App?

Update your software on all devices

Update the Hive App

Reboot your wifi

Im not familiar with Hive. I don’t know what is failing, You haven’t provided enough information to determine what troubleshooting steps are needed.

Is it you’ve already set it up successfully but HomePod won’t perform your commands? Try asking Siri on one of your other Siri enabled devices to see if it works with that. If set up correctly it should

you can try restarting HomePod:

Open the Home App - go to the Room it’s in

Long press on the HomePod icon to bring up settings, scroll down to the gear icon, tap that, scroll to the bottom to Reset HomePod - then select Restart HomePod

I have one of the Hive HUB350 and I contacted them via live chat. This was after seeing the instructions you provided above with the 6 steps on Hive's website. After chatting with the Hive online Tech support, they said the device first has to be added to HomeKit before the Hive App will see HomeKit in the Install Devices list. So when in HomeKit, it's asking for a scan of a Q code or a 8-digit # from the device. Their is no 8-digit # on the hub. Hive app v10.40.2 on a iPhone 6s v14.4.2 and photo attached of the bottom of the hub.

I googled this: Your phone's camera may have trouble scanning the code if it's tilted at an angle. Make sure it's level with the surface that the code is printed on. If you're holding your phone too close or too far away, it won't scan the code. Try holding your phone about a foot away and slowly moving it towards the QR code.

Try a Hive .forum or even Reddit

Documentation doesn't have anything. I don't have the box anymore and don't recall it having any HomeKit label on it as I got this back in 2016. If it had HomeKit on it then I would have tried setting up back then. Now that HomeKit is more established I've revisited seeing if I could get it working. Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed maybe someone else has gone through this with the older hub(2nd gen if I'm not mistaken).

Thanks for your help though.

That QR code doesn't work as previously mentioned and there is no 8-digit code on the device or it's documentation. I've tried the iPhone restart and no such luck. At this point I've got nothing. I'll keep reading up on other forums also in the hopes someone might have got it to work. Tomorrow I'll also contact Hive again for a better answer from their side.

Is it supposed to have had a firmware upgrade enabling HomeKit support? If so you would have thought that Hive would have provided setup details. Clearly your old documentation wouldn't help at this point, neither would the label. The QR code on the bottom probably takes you to a Hive support page if you use the camera and open in Safari. I think you may be asking too much of your old gear.
