I know someone who has broken the glass fingerprint sensor on the sleep button on their iPad Air 4
How much would it cost to be repaired if it can be?
Whenever unlocking the iPad the fingerprint sensor can’t detect a finger.
You're not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user tech support forum and we, just users like you, are not aware of prices Apple can ask for that kind of problem.
Make an appointment at an Apple Store or Authorized Service provider and have that iPad inspected. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options (and related costs).

Ok. This is helpful however I need a price for the exact repair. This is so my friend knows if it would be worth it and if they can afford it.
