Change default save location for Quicktime screen recordings

My question is exactly as stated. Now, screen recordings just save to the desktop, but I want them to save to a folder instead. I tried creating an Automator workflow, but I must have done something wrong because it didn’t work. I have done the same thing for screenshots which worked perfectly. Any idea on what I can do?

I tried that, but it reverts back to the default desktop option every time I do a new recording.
