So my iPod classic 5th gen 30gb will not boot up it just says please wait very low battery mode. It also won’t go in disk mode

Charge it overnight from a computer rather than a power brick.

Ipod Nano 3rd Gen RESET/BOOT loop when plugged in. Do I need a functioning battery? Hello. My Nano 3rd gen (square one) doesn't have a working battery. However, days ago it would work perfectly fine when plugged into a power source. Recently, even when plugged in, it won't go past the boot screen. It goes to the apple logo, shuts off, then starts again and resets. I can't flash the system as it doesn't stay on long enough. I'm wondering if this is just a battery problem. But does it actually need a functioning battery? Why won't it stay on while it's plugged in?
