I just purchased a 2021 Chevy Trail Boss and I am unable to automatically connect to the speaker system when making or receiving calls.... I have the latest software updates on my vehicle and my iphone12... is anyone else having this issue?

I just purchased a 2021 Chevy Trail Boss and I am Unable to make or receive calls through my speaker system... I have the latest software updated on my IPhone 12 Plus and my vehicle has the latest software updates... my friends iPhone 11 connects successfully and he is able to utilize the speaker system... is this an error with the iPhone 12? Has anyone else experienced this problem
