My 4 digit passcode is no longer required to open my phone. How do I get the passcode requirement back to open the phone?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

Ask someone else to try or cover your face. It may just be your FaceID is working correctly.

If FaceID is not being used go to

Settings, FaceID and Passcode

Obviously make sure Passcode is turned on

Require Passcode Immediately
