Passcode suddenly required to access Voicemail

Just recently there is a prompt to enter my passcode to hear Voicemail. I don’t have a password and wonder why this is a new function on my iPhone 7?

Any resolution? Thank you.

How can I change my iPhone SE voicemail passcode if I forgot it? I have an I phone SE the new generation one. I want to listen to my voicemails but my stupid voicemail passcode isn’t working and there is no way to change it in settings. Voicemail is a carrier provided service. Contact your cellular provider for guidance on this.
