Did you add a cellular data plan for your Watch?

Usually to have the convenience to just use your Watch alone, without an iPhone in range or present, means your current iPhone cellular plan needs to support cellular calls and data for the Watch and that is usually and additional monthly cost/fee for that convenience.

You need to call or visit you cellular phone carrier to find out what needs to be done and what the additional costs to have these features/convenience are to be able just use your Watch to make calls and use other cellular based features of the Watch.

Also, anything that a cellular Watch can access, can also, cut into whatever monthly data plan you current have for your smartphone/iPhone.

These are NOT a free feature of the GPS/cellular version of the Watch.
