no matter what i try tapping emoji in settings does nothing
I can only get emojis when texting. When I went into settings to enable holiday emojis... everything I tried including reset dictionary...tapping emoji still does nothing

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand you’re having issues using emoji on your iPhone. We’ll be happy to help.
It sounds like you’re seeing the emoji icon in the lower left corner of your iOS keyboard, but tapping it does not work. Is that correct? Does this occur in other apps as well? Safari, Notes, and other apps allow you to access the emoji keyboard. Try using it there and see if it works.
If you’re using a 3rd party keyboard, turn that off and then test again.
Also, make sure iOS is up to date:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
