Internet Connection Suddenly Fails: MBP 2019 BigSur

After a few hours working online, regardless of what I'm doing (email, Teams, Facebook, banking etc.) pages stop loading and time out, they do not load slowly, they do not load at all.

The internet is connected and it happens with Firefox and Safari and with my home wi-fi and at son's home with his--it slows, stops and I have to reboot then I'm good for a few hours until it happens again. Started over the weekend, so I installed Avast which comes up clean. I also have disabled browser extensions, didn't make any difference. Ideas what might be going on?

Start by uninstalling AVAST. It is not needed, uses system resources while providing no benefit, and it may cause problems. If you have any other third party apps that claim to protect, clean, manage, boost performance, etc., uninstall these apps. Post an etrecheck report so that we can see what may be contributing to your problem.
