Garage band is giving me issues and I'm thinking its because of bigsur, the questions i have is now, what do i do? i have a 2012 macbook pro and it's running great and all. do i really have to upgrade to a 2013 or higher mac? that's kinda.... sus. lol

With older hardware it is usually better to use the system versions that have been developed and optimised for this Mac model. It will give the best performance.
