Photo Import interrupted

I was importing multiple photos + video from an Iphone 11 to IMAC and the USB cable was removed interrupting the import. Now the system wont recongnise the balance of photos in the phone that didnt import and is treating the all the photos as imported. Which they are not.Can someone please advise a work around for this.

Try using the image capture app to copy them to a folder on your mac, and then import them from there.
