This happened twice after sleep with iMac 2017 Big Sur 11.2.3

This happened twice after sleep with iMac 2017 Big Sur 11.2.3 and only with this dynamic wallpaper. If I change wallpaper this disappears but if I change back to Big Sur dynamic wallpaper it is there again. Then I change to non dynamic and after about 5-10 mins change back to dynamic Big Sur and the problem disappears.

What could be the cause of this? I hope not GPU failure...

Please reset the NVRAM and also restart in Safe Mode. Instrucitons for each are below:

If the problem continues you can provide an EtreCheck report of your system and we can look for obvious issues. We will provide the instructions on your request.

Thank you for the help. The same answer goes for you as Jack.

Btw I have an issue with my wifi since Mojave. It's not working at all I tried everything what I just could google. And if I don't delete wifi service in network preferences it can slow down or freeze my Mac. So I use my Mac without wifi in the config.

Can the wifi issue cause a problem like I posted first?

That is odd that your Wi-Fi has been removed. Lets look for obvious issues and please do the following:

Please navigate to www.Etrecheck.com and download the free version of EtreCheck. Once you have you downloaded the app and installed it, please run the report and save it. This report will help us get a good idea what has been installed on your system and help us be able to diagnose what may be wrong.

When you have your report, you can attach it when you reply to this message and we can then review it and help you determine what is needed to get your system running well again.

For instructions on how to download your EtreCheck report and attach it to your reply to this message please click https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-250000211

Thanks for your further help. I made the report with wifi added config. maybe it shows you the issue. The Mac is slow this way.

So wifi turned on but doesn't work at all.

Also the report says security updates are disabled. I don't know why. I always update everything. Maybe it says because it is not automatic?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Attila

No I cannot tell you what the problem is. You can call AppleCare for help, yes even if your computer is out of warranty. What I suspect the issue to be is you have a corrupt version of Mac OS installed. My guess is that you had a corrupt download of Mac OS or a corrupted installation.

You can attempt to restart in the Recovery Partition by holding down Command + R on startup, then installing Mac OS. This type of install is designed to fill in parts of Mac OS that are either corrupt or were damaged on installation. However before doing this type of install you always should have a valid backup that you can test before starting the project. The install should not affect ANY of your data or third party apps, checking your backup is your insurance policy in the rare event of a problem to safeguard your data and third party apps..

Oh my... Corrupt? I downloaded it from App Store. Also it is strange this issue always come up nevertheless which OS I use. It was on Mojave and Catalina too.

Thanks for your help, appreciate it. I will try your suggestions tomorrow. If it doesn't help, maybe a clean install will.

But that wi-fi problem maybe a hardware problem I think.

Attila
