Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
On my iPhone SE I tried to delet an app that is no longer on the home screen (but said it would still reside in App Library) so I tried
Settings app > General > Usage > Manage Storage [under STORAGE] > locate the app on the list and tap it, then tap Delete App.
I see the app there BUT NO delete function availabe to me.... how do I get rid of apps????
iPhone SE, iOS 14
On an iPhone with iOS 14, if the app is on a Home screen, touch and hold the app, tap Remove app and then tap Delete App (or tap Edit Home Screen in the pop up menu, tap the minus sign, then tap Delete App)
If the app is only in the App Library screen (swipe left past the last Home screen), touch and hold the app there and then tap Delete app.
Note that some built-in Apple apps cannot be deleted.
If neither of those options is available, there may be a restriction set on deleting apps. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps.

THANK YOU!!!! that worked after I changed the setting then Settings.General>iPhone Storage - the apps appear at the bottom and I can delete user apps.
