How to print a gmail on a MacBook Air?

This is an answer. Post replies if I've got it wrong. Very annoying trying to print an email when using gmail on a Mac, regardless of browser.

There should be a "Print" icon in the area shown by the red box in this screen shot, but there isn't. I looked EVERYWHERE (I thought) and I tried all normal Ctrl-P or Menu: Print commands, but the print preview indicated I could only print one page. Not what I wanted.

Finally, I scrolled the email way over to the right. There, hidden unless you knew to scroll, was the print icon. Why? I have no idea. Next to the print icon is an icon of a little box with an arrow pointing to the upper right. If you click this, you get the entire thread in a readable format in a new window. Then you can print from there. This also works.
