How do I restore my iphone when finder isn't recognizing the backup?

I backed up my phone this evening. Then reset it to unlock it in order to switch phone providers. Now when I try to restore the backup, it does not come up in finder. However, when I search for ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ I see it. How do I access this so I can restore my phone? I can right click and get info and see that it has 110gb of data in the file. I have tried everything I can think of and still no luck.

Try using the utility iMazing. It provides an alternate means of "restoring" from an iPhone backup to your iPhone. You probably have to purchase it, but for 110 GB backup, it would be worth it if it works. However if the backup was corrupted, it might or might not work. On the other hand, it offers a "customized" restore, which means you can pick pieces and elements to restore, so if part of the backup is not readable, hopefully the other parts can be selected and restored.

Thank you. I know how to restore the backup. The problem I am having is that Finder is not recognizing the backup. A backup was made that took nearly 3 hours. After it was finished and the eject button appeared next to my phone, my wife ejected the phone and proceeded to erase it in order to unlock the phone to use with a new carrier. It appears that, even though the eject button appeared, the backup was still a minute or two away from finalizing so it is not being recognized. However, when I go to: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ - I can see the backup folder and by right clicking "get info" I can see that there is over 110gb of data contained in the file. I need to find out if there is anyway to extract that information, specifically photos and videos, even if I can't use it as a standard backup. Is there a way using quicktime or some other application to pull the data from those files? The backup took 3 hours and it appears it was only the last minute or so that it was unplugged too soon. Is there anyway to salvage that data? If the folder is 110gb than there has to be information in there, right?
