Some things you can try. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.

I can’t verify my email address because the verification process fails when trying to connect to iCloud. I get the email with the code, enter it, and get a “can’t connect to iCloud” response. I’ve tried over several hours with the same result, trying from my iPad and iPhone, after restarting both. I can log into my iCloud account just fine so I know iCloud is available and it is not my internet connection. Is there another way to verify the email address?
