Trouble changing Apple ID on iPhone and iPad to new Apple ID

I changed my Apple ID and password on my MacBook Pro but am unable to change my Apple ID to new one on my iPhone and iPad. It accepts the new password, but shows the old ID and doesn't give way to change the ID to new one

iPad mini 4, iPadOS 14
