Hard Drive Showing Empty Folder
My External SSD will show up either with all my folders and no files or nothing at all.
I tried to repair using disk utility but I’m not getting any luck. Can anyone help with this issue

Boot using CMD+r keys & use Disk Utility from there, or...
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
