Hello,

how the dark mode change the background of Apple Terminal?

I looked inside .zshrc and .zshrc_Apple_Terminal but I did not find any clues there.

Any idea?

How to set terminal font color to opposite of background color? I installed oh my zsh on my Mac, and used the Agnoster theme. Then, I installed Powerline fonts, and now it looks like this: And I found out that it is due too the font being black when it's supposed to be white. And if I change my Mac system theme to dark from auto (which meant that it was light) it works just fine. I want the font color to be the opposite of the background color. This is the background color, who's black and white as you can see, and when I dragged it to the font color, it was black and white like the background color, but I needed it to be opposite to the background color, but still white and black. How can I do it? I'm using macOS Monterey.

I did see the two others and they did not give me the explanation I wanted.

So basically form what I understand, in the colors palette, the third tab have a developer option where the colors dynamically adapt to the dark mode.

Check the Terminal "Preferences" like you would with any other GUI app.

I did before asking this question but I didn’t find something about how the dark mode automatically changes the background of Apple Terminal for white to black and vice versa.

Can you give more details please?

Maybe I missed something.

I'm not sure since I don't use dark mode. It may just be whatever Apple has decided with Light/Dark Mode settings, but how Apple does this I've never investigated.
