Realistically you can't unless you are extremely well versed in HTML. I looked at an iWeb html page with BBEdit, and excellent HTML editor, and found the page to be unbelievably complex.
You're best bet would be to replace the site with one from a web creator that allows coping items from a published site into one being created. One app that allows that is EverWeb . It also has a GUI similar to iWeb. You can use EverWeb in demo form which will allow you to create and view (in a browser type of window) your site but just not publish it. If you purchase a license you can putblish to a folder, your web hosing server or EverWeb's server.
One plus for EverWeb is that you can start with a blank page like iWeb. Many of the other web development apps only work with predefined themes.
