Apple Card: Can I specify which Apple ID to link to the card.

I applied for the Apple Card, and wanted it to pay for all my Apple purchases on my account. The Apple ID assigned to the card was the me.com email address. This is not the ID I use for my account. I contacted card support but they said I could not change the ID on the account. So I closed the card and will re-apply once I resolved the Apple ID account issue.

My question is, when I re-apply for the Apple Card can I specify which Apple ID I want linked to the Apple Card?

The Apple ID signed into iCloud on your iPhone is the ID the Apple Card is applied under/tied to. This allows you to sync and use the Apple Card to your Mac, Watch or iPad or future new devices also signed into the same iCloud ID. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211155
