iPhone Buying Help

Hello Communities,

I am in a sticky situation currently, trying to help my sister buy an iPhone from our phone provider in a decent price affordable for her. We have trued to buy the iPhone SE 2nd generation from them three times, off their website, yet they have none. I see that the iPhone 7 is available for around $160 dollars, excluding taxes, right in the perfect price range for her; but I am not sure if it’s a good idea since the phone is a few years old. Can someone tell me anything about how many years the 7th gen will be getting iOS updates? Any tech specs? I need to find as much info about it as possible to help her get a phone that’ll last her at least 2 years, if not longer.
