Apple TV and HomePod show up with only the room name

I have a HomePod and an Apple TV set up in my living room. In the Home app, they are both in the "Living Room" room.

When I want to play music from my iPhone or Mac, it's hard to tell which accessory to choose as they both (TV and HomePod) appear as Living Room.

Why is the accessory name not shown? Why only the room name?

When playing music on HomePod and AppleTV if I start playing a show on the AppleTV it replaces the audio on HomePod This seems like it should be simple but I can't figure it out. In the morning, I have an automation that plays some music on a HomePod and an AppleTV. Later in the morning, if my wife wants to watch a show on the AppleTV the audio from that will start coming out of the HomePod. How do we easily and seamlessly just play the AppleTV's audio there and leave the HomePod to continue playing the music it already was?

HomePod Mini not showing in Home app on MacBook Pro (OS Mojave) We added 3 HomePod Mini's to our Home. All can be seen and controlled on iOS device (iPhone X running iOS 15.2) Any reason I only see AppleTVs and not the HomePod Mini? We never used Home app until we received the HomePod Minis this week. music subscription I have my Apple Music subscription for one person, me. I can't play on two (personal) devices; which is understandable. However, I am thinking of buying the HomePod for my living room. Say someone play a song from the HomePod, I use my phone to listen while I run. Can I use both devices at the same time? HomePod and iPhone or does the subscription will recognize it as one device as well as the laptop...? Thank you

Have you given the devices custom names, or are they using the generic Apple TV and HomePod?
