Friends can see my location but theirs won’t load

over the last few weeks more than half of the people whom i share locations with won’t load. i often reached out to the people to see if they’ve stopped sharing or if they turned their location off but they reassured me that they still shared locations and nothing was different on their end. has this happened to anyone else, if so how’d you fix it ?
