iPad Air 4 and USB SuperDrive

A Super drive is a spinning optical combo CD/DVD reader/writer/disc burner.

Using ANY optical drives with any iOS devices, like an iPad, has never, ever been possible.

NO optical drives work with ANY iOSiPadOS device! NONE!

iOS/iPadOS has no control drivers to use such a device and the power requirements needed to use such a device, even with an external power sources, are too great to use with any iPhone/iPad.

Does it have its own power supply?

It would require a convoluted connection, but it should work should you wish to go to all the trouble.
