My Apple TV needs to be rebooted every time I switch on the TV and receiver.

If the Apple TV is not rebooted, I get the ‘no input’ message from the receiver on my TV screen.

Sound and picture are often or sporadically out if sync for Hulu, HBO Max, Apple, Netflix and Amazon.

You do not need to restart the Apple TV if the status light is glowing continuously.

Instead of restarting,

- adjust your receiver input

- wake the Apple TV from sleep (if the status light is off) using the Menu button on the Apple TV remote. Using HDMI-CEC, this can be enough to wake the other devices (TV, receiver) as well, and set the correct inputs.
