How to permanently remove a bookmark from the homescreen?

I previously bookmarked a website to my homescreen for a long time. However I’m unable to remove it from the homescreen ever since. I followed the procedure by pressing and hold the icon to remove it. It would be gone for a short time. But I f I reset my phone, the bookmark would always re-appear on my homescreen.

This bookmark would stay on the homescreen even I have been through new phones and iOS.

Is there a way to permanently delete a bookmark without re-appearing my homescreen?

When we refer to bookmarks, we mean in Safari do you have this same bookmark created? Here's how to check:

Bookmark favorite webpages in Safari on iPhone - Apple Support

If so, delete that bookmark and let us know if it persists on the home screen.

Hello Tqg2Gr,

We understand that you're having trouble deleting a bookmark from your home screen on your iPhone. Do you still have a matching bookmark in Safari? Also, do you have any restrictions enabled?
