speaker volume low on macbook

I have been experiencing low speaker volume on my 2020 macbook pro. I have read on other threads that macbook volume is low after connecting/disconnecting from airpods. It requires a reset to restore full volume. It seems kind of wild to buy a $1500+ computer and $150+ headphones and they aren't fully compatible and or functional???? Resetting NVRAM/PRAM as a solution is annoying, especially when needed daily, sometimes several times per day. Does anyone know why an apple product would cause this to happen to another apple product? Will there be an update to resolve this issue? Is there a more permanent solution?????

Hi krinm,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand your MacBook Pro speaker volume is lower than expected, and we'd like to look into this. Are you running the latest version of macOS, 11.2.3? You can find the version by going to the Apple menu in the upper left corner of your screen, and choosing About This Mac.

When this issue occurs have you checked your sound preferences to make sure the balance is still centered?

You may also consider resetting your AirPods before you connect them to your Mac again.

Take care.
