Shutter sound in japanese iphone

personal note: i feel this feature useless as if someone will try to capture your private photos, they can record your video instead without knowing other person.

There are at least 2 options:

• Put your finger over the bottom speaker on the phone when taking a photo
• Download a 3rd party camera app from the app store that supports an option to mute the sound.

Whether you feel it's useless or not is completely irrelevant.

The device complies with the laws of the country where it was originally sold. You can't change that.

If it makes you unhappy, you should have purchased a phone from an authorized retailer in your own country.

I have an SE I bought Tokyo and yes also has the camera sound.

I've read all over the place and there's nothing you can do about it as far as I have found.

There are a few hacks which claim to delete this but personally the annoyance for me doesn't outweigh the risk of installing some sketchy software onto my iPhone.

I got used to it, most of the time it's not really a problem, or I just cover the bottom of the phone where the speakers are with my finger which mutes almost all of the sound.

A bit awkward but works unless you're in a totally silent environment.

A: We are not Apple. This is a user forum. We aren't selling anything at all.

B: You will never be "satisfied" with the answer you get for your question. That isn't going to alter reality in any way.

Next time, either buy in your own country or do your homework before you spend that kind of money.

It is not possible to overcome that restriction.

Apple does not have the legal right to disable it. It complies with the laws of the country in which it was sold.

Then I guess congratulations are in order for saving so much money with your purchase.

Unfortunately, the users here can not change Apple’s programming, or your decision to purchase from the wrong region.

Not everyone buys one there to save money. I bought one there because I was working in Japan for 3 months and really needed a new one.
