Cannot activate iMessage

I switched carriers and now cannot activate my iMessage or FaceTime

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 14

Hi, you may need to update your carrier settings. Make sure you are connected to WiFi or Data. Go to Settings>About , then see if there is a carrier update. Other than that try restarting your iPhone.
