People can’t hear me when playing video game together while FaceTiming. On ipad

Based on your message, we’re understanding that if you are connected via FaceTime but using a third-party gaming app, the person on FaceTime cannot hear you.
To get started, we have some questions about the behavior to further isolate. Is this happening with all games? Are you able to hear the other person? Is FaceTime showing as muted or paused during the time the game is running? Does the issue persist with both the internal microphone as well as if using headphones/EarPods?
Please be sure that both your iPad and the game apps are up to date.
