Youtube Full Screen Safari Problems

I have already posted this in another section but I was told I should try posting it in here.

Not sure why this has started happening but it never used to before.

When I try and play a Youtube video in fullscreen the dock & the menu bar stay in the video screen.

It is only Safari that does this I have downloaded Google Chrome and did not have this issue.

I have tried uninstalling Safari 5.0.1 and then downloading Safari 5.0 but that did not work then I tried downloading 5.0.1 again and the issue is still there.

I have also tried removing Flash player and re installing it.

Here is a screenshot of what happens.

Please click Safari/Report Bugs to Apple.

You are about the tenth Safari user to post with this problem this week. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.

In you other pose, you asked the user to re-install the OS X or create another admin user.
For every small bug, you ask user to reinstall the entire OS X? Or create a new admin user?
Are you kidding me??? We are not ****** windows user. This is not the expectation of OS X.

You don't need to turn off the html5.

Try clearing website data in safari and emtying cache.

Helped me.

hi guys!

couldn't play youtube videos on full screen, and here what I did;

1) went through your responces 🙂

2) enabled plug in in safari ( safara/preferences/security/tick-enable plug ins

3) also disabled html5

4) check also that you have the latest version of flash player

Clearing website data turns off HTML5 on youtube for me (check by looking at the context menu of the player), so full screen works, but it's flash and it deleted my website data. It's easier/simpler to turn HTML5 off on Youtube.
