Apple Watch

I bought a Apple Watch from someone and they told me that the watch unlock and okay to use. But when I try to connected to my iPhone is saying that need an Apple ID and password. I did ask the first owner if can reset the watch, and she is saying that I can ask the support to help me unlock the watch because she can’t give her Apple ID and the password. So I need to check if I can get helped? Thanks
