How to turn off Apple Arcade startup sound (beep)

Opening a game from Arcade starts with an Arcade opening screen and beep. I find it annoying. (Almost as bad as Netflix ;-)

Short of muting all sound before you start I don't think it is possible. Use Product Feedback - Apple to let Apple know that you'd like an option for this.

I posted this same question some time ago, and here is the worthless answer I received. (I do not see a "speaker icon" on the launch screen):

We see that you have some questions about turning off the sound for Apple Arcade on your iPhone. Having the ability to control the output sound on your device is very important. We're glad you reached out for help.

To control the volume of an each game that is an individual feature you would use the volume buttons to adjust. If you're trying to change the volume of the demo video or intro to Apple Arcade when launching there is a speaker icon on the screen that will allow you to make changes.

We hope this helps. If we have misunderstood the volume you would like to change additional details would be helpful about the volume in particular you want to turn off.

Have a good day!
